First Annual Shop Hop

A special thanks to Channel 2's, "Fresh Living", for hosting us and being a part of this amazing event.

Over 37.5% of single parent families in Utah live in poverty.  That number goes up to 46.9% if those single parent families have children younger than five years old.  Many of these single mothers work 40-60 hours a week in minimum wage jobs that offer little opportunity for advancement and provide no financial security for their families.  These mothers feel trapped and without hope.   Sadly, this begins a multi-generational cycle of poverty for many of these families.  Every community feels the impact of families living in poverty.

In 2013, eight amazing and selfless Utah mothers came to together to form the Women to Women Foundation in an effort to provide educational scholarships specifically for single mothers. Since the inception the foundation has provided over ninety thousand dollars in scholarships. These mothers are able to pursue careers that provide the financial security they need for their families.

On October 12 through the 13 EmieJames along with 20+ women owned businesses have come together for the the first Annual Shop Hop benefiting the Women to Women Foundation. All participating retailers will be giving the Women to Women Foundation 10% of all in store and online sales. This is going to be an event you don't want to miss there will be prizes, giveaways and fun promotions at each store. Visit womentowomenfoundation.org for a list of participating retailers.
