Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

The Recipe

INGREDIENTS

Cooking spray

All-purpose flour, for dusting

1 (8oz) tube crescent dough

1/2 lb. deli sliced ham

2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

8 oz. sliced Swiss cheese

4 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. poppy seeds

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8"x8" baking pan with cooking spray.

2. On a lightly floured surface, unroll dough. Separate sheet into 4 rectangles (containing 2 triangles each) and pinch perforations between triangles together to seal. 

3. Spread mustard onto each rectangle. Top with ham and cheese. 

4. Starting with one short side, roll up each rectangle into a small log. Pinch edges to seal. Cut each roll into 5 to 6 slices. Arrange cut side up in prepared pan. 

5. In a small bowl, whisk butter, parsley, and garlic powder. Brush over pinwheels, then sprinkle poppy seeds on top. 

6. Bake pinwheels until dough is golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes.
