Upscale your Holiday Decor with a little TLC

We know what your thinking Tender Loving Care.

Today we are going to teach you how to use TLC in a different way: Texture, Levels, and Color!

We are excited to share our tips and tricks with you, along with show you some of our favorite products to accomplish these three simple ways that are sure to upscale your decor.

  • Layer different materials. This is a great way to add visual interest and depth to your decor. For example, hang a garland made of felt balls and wooden beads on your mantel.
  • Use natural elements. Wood, stone, and pine needles are all great ways to add texture to your holiday decor.
  • Add some sparkle. Glitter and metallics are a great way to add glamour and sophistication to your holiday decor.
  • Use different fabrics. Velvet, fur, and wool are all great ways to add texture and softness to your holiday decor.
  • Get creative with your gift wrapping. Instead of using traditional wrapping paper, change up your pattern or style. You can also try using fabric scraps or burlap.

  • Use varying heights of accessories and decor. This will create a more visually interesting and dynamic space.
  • Here are some great decor pieces that can be used to create levels:
  • Wreaths and Garland- Placing a wreath above your fireplace or using garland with other decorative items adds warmth and height. For more on decorating your mantle click here.
  • Candles- Candles create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Bottle Brush trees- These are perfect to add height, texture and color to a space.
  • Vases- filled with different types of greenery, such as pine boughs, holly, and berries.
  • Ornaments- many ornaments can be used for more than placement on a Christmas Tree.

Adding color can be so fun and so personal! You can do this with small accessories, throws, candles, tree ornaments, just to name a few.
The colors you choose are completely up to you. Here are a few examples of some fun and complimenting color choices:

1. Traditional Holiday Colors: Red, green, and gold are always popular choices for holiday decor.

2. Retro Holiday Colors: Pastels such as pink and light blue are a fun way to add a twist to your holiday decor. Turquoise is also another fun retro color.

3. Non traditional colors: Blue, silver and white. These colors can create a more modern and sophisticated look.

4. Use Natural Colors: Natural colors, such as brown, cream, and white, can create a warm and inviting holiday atmosphere.
